Mental Health Association of the District of Columbia
Synthesis created a comprehensive Mental Health Public Education Campaign, entitled “Get a Fresh Outlook on Mental Illness” targeting people who live and work in Washington, DC. We created brochures, electronic fact sheets, posters, bus cards and dioramas in English and Spanish to convey the message that mental illnesses are treatable brain disorders that require early intervention. We oversaw development of both audio and video PSAs featuring Virginia Williams, mother of DC Mayor Anthony Williams, that were broadly distributed to DC radio and television stations to increase the reach of the campaign message.
